Master your class with SI PASS!

Peer assisted study sessions for your classes at UMBC!

Happy Monday, Retrievers!

It's the part of the semester when grades are finally starting to show up. How do you feel about where you are right now? Are we doing amazing? That's great! Are we doing not so amazing? That's okay! The Academic Success Center has plenty of amazing resources for you to be successful. And one of those amazing resources is SI PASS!

SI Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) are weekly review sessions led by trained SI PASS leaders. Not only have SI PASS leaders succeeded at the course before, but they are also embedded in the course and follow the material along with you so they can help you be successful.

The best way to find out more about SI PASS is to attend a session! SI PASS exists for select BIOL, CHEM, ECON, MATH, PHYS, and SPAN courses. For session times, please check out our SI PASS Schedule!

SI PASS allows students to interact with the material in dynamic ways. Sessions allow students to compare notes, discuss readings, develop organizational tools, and predict test items.

If you're still unsure about trying SI PASS, data show that students who attend SI PASS sessions are more likely to earn higher grades in their courses than students who do not attend sessions.

Do you love SI PASS? Tell us about it in the comments!
