The 2-1-1 Helpline provides information, community resources and referrals on a variety of health and human service issues are available with one easy call. A trusted and caring call specialist is there to answer the helpline 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The 2-1-1 Maryland United Way Helpline provides individuals and families one easy-to-remember hot line for assistance. The 2-1-1 helplines can help you access: Food, Shelters and emergency housing for the homeless, Access to transitional housing, Medical care, Utility assistance, Tax help, Job training, Eviction prevention services, Family services and counseling, Day care, Prescription assistance, Suicide prevention and crisis center services.
The Academic Success Center provides centralized support services to all undergraduate students at UMBC. Need someone to talk to? Staffed by professional psychologist, Counseling Center offers a variety of services to help you enhance your personal growth to attain your educational goals. UMBC’s Office of Equity and Inclusion (OEI) is responsible for promoting and coordinating the University’s core values of inclusive excellence and equity, and has primary responsibility for managing UMBC’s efforts related to Title IX as well as other civil rights issues, including discrimination, harassment, hate and bias. If you need services related to substance abuse and associated disorders, or recovery support, please contact UMBC’s Counseling Center at 410-455-2472. The Center’s hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; the After-Hours Support Line is available at 410-455-3230.

Students can now pick up groceries, toiletries, and other essentials at a number of private, but also very accessible, locations across campus.
