UMBC is Smoke-free
Policy and enforcement
In compliance with USM standards, UMBC went smoke-free in July 2013. Since then, individuals who violate the policy have received warnings. Moving forward, individuals in violation of the smoke free policy will receive fines up to $75.
Smoking areas have been designated on campus. Outside of these areas, no one is permitted to smoke on the UMBC campus.
