All ASC Tutoring is Now Open!

All Academic Success Center (ASC) tutoring services are now open in our library space as well as in Fine Arts, 010A.   

Visit our website to make an appointment or to view times to  drop – in for help from our wonderful peer educators who are eager to help!

Academic Skills Meeting – (Located in the Library) Help with Time Management, Motivation Tips, Study Skills, and Academic Accountability meetings.

Drop - In & Appointment Content Tutoring -  (Located in the Library) Course content support for many 100 & 200 courses (CHEM, MATH, BIO, PHYS, STAT, and more!)

Computing Success Drop In - (Located in the Library)  Help with computer science, computer engineering, and information systems courses as well support with programming languages for all students, regardless of major or course.

SI PASS – (FA 010A & Multiple Locations) Supplemental Instruction & Peer Assisted Study Sessions; it’s like a built-in study group for your class! Attend a review session and compare notes, discuss readings, develop organizational tools, and predict test items.

Writing Center – (Located in the Library) Help with writing assignments for any class at any stage of the writing process. Appointments are held in person, online, and asynchronously.

 

Academic Peer Advocacy Meetings - (Located in the Library) Supporting only first and second year students during their transition into UMBC; empowering them to confidently seek help when needed and connect to campus resources.
