The Academic Success Center is your one stop for academic support! Tutoring for the Fall 2022 semester will begin on Wednesday, September 14, 2022.
What do we tutor?
- We mostly tutor 100 level and 200 level classes, with some support available for 300 level and 400 level classes
How do we tutor?
- We offer tutoring by appointment for certain subjects and written assignments
- We offer drop in tutoring for Math and STEM courses, as well as Computer Science and IS courses
Who are our tutors?
- Our tutors are students like you who have mastered the course and were recommended by faculty to become tutors. Our tutors receive ongoing training to stay up to date on the best techniques for tutoring students.
All tutoring through the Academic Success Center is free of charge to UMBC students! Peer support for specific courses depends on resources available each semester. If you have any questions about our tutoring services, email tutoring@umbc.edu
